Reinhard Linden

Reinhard Linden (* 1957 in Ingelheim am Rhein ) is a German opera director. Since the 2006/2007 season he has been working in this position at the Opera House in Kiel .

biography

The trained church musician previously worked as a solo instructor, study director, conductor and singer agent.

After studying at the universities of Mainz and Frankfurt, Linden gained his first experience at La Scala in Milan , at the Paris Opera and as a répétiteur in New York City and Vienna . He was director of studies at the Wuppertaler Bühnen and the Deutsche Oper am Rhein and from 2004 to 2006 artistic advisor in Taipei, Taiwan, where he worked at the National Chiang Kai-Shek Cultural Center a. a. organized and prepared the first performance of Wagner's Ring des Nibelungen in the Chinese-speaking area with Taiwanese singers. Since 2016 he has also been visiting professor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music .
