Reinhard Nesper

Reinhard Nesper (born April 9, 1949 in Elze ) is a German chemist and emeritus professor of inorganic solid-state chemistry .

Nesper studied chemistry at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . He completed his dissertation at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart with Hans Georg von Schnering on oxidic tin systems . In 1984 he did a postdoc at Cornell University . Five years later he completed his habilitation at the University of Stuttgart . From 1990 to 2014 Nesper was Full Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the ETH Zurich .

Nesper is known for the experimental lectures he gave previously with Wolfram Uhlig and Bruno Rüttimann.
