Reinhard Winter (pedagogue)

Reinhard Winter (born November 6, 1958 in Stuttgart ) is a German educator and gender researcher. His studies and publications are among the basic texts of work with boys and men.


Reinhard Winter grew up in Schwäbisch Gmünd . From 1981 to 1987 he studied educational sciences at the University of Tübingen with a degree in education. He then worked on research and consulting projects and has been a lecturer at the Institute for Educational Sciences at the University of Tübingen since 1989. From 1991 to 1995 he ran a consulting practice with a focus on boys and men in Tübingen. He also completed additional training as a psychodrama leader . In 1994 he received his doctorate. rer. soc., also at the University of Tübingen with Lothar Böhnisch and Hans Thiersch .

Reinhard Winter has a son and a daughter.


Since 1992 he has been working as a freelancer in social and gender research, in practical work with boys and in adult education. In 2003 he founded the "Social Science Institute Tübingen" with Anja Wilser and Gunter Neubauer, with a focus on social research, organizational consulting, concept development and qualification, which he also heads together with Gunter Neubauer. His work focuses on boys, men, work with boys, gender issues and health.
