Reinhart Wolff
Reinhart Wolff (born October 20, 1939 in Battenberg (Eder) ) is a German educational scientist and sociologist . Until his retirement he taught the subjects of social work and social pedagogy, educational science, sociology with a focus on youth welfare, child protection, help system research, quality development, action methods and self-reflection in social work at the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences in Berlin .
Life
Reinhart Wolff grew up in an educated middle-class family with four siblings in the country during the Second World War , studied in the 1960s and 1970s and then worked as a young educational scientist and sociologist at the Free University of Berlin , where he received his doctorate in 1966 , followed in 1976 Habilitation . Wolff, he got involved in the 1968 movement and took part in the experiments with a new, anti-authoritarian education. He is the father of two sons.
Wolff was a well-known representative of the anti-authoritarian children's shop movement and, together with Lutz von Werder, published some of the basic documents that were important for the development of anti-authoritarian education . Wolff also took part in Gerhard Bott's film : Education for Disobedience - an important document of anti-authoritarian education that received attention in many training centers for educators and social workers.
Wolff designed a strategy for the German Child Protection Association “Help instead of punishment” for perpetrators of sexual abuse of children . This strategy was based on a "family-oriented approach" that wanted to put the joint therapy of perpetrators and victims in place of the punishment of the perpetrators. The criticism of this strategy, however, is that the children as victims remain under one roof with their parents as perpetrators. In 1990, in an article written together with his wife in the magazine Sozial Extra , he criticized the campaigns against child abuse: “The whole zeal is directed towards it. To restore the norms of a de-sexualized childhood. "
