Reinhild Countess von Hardenberg

Reinhild Countess von Hardenberg (born March 20, 1923 in Potsdam , † June 23, 2016 in Düsseldorf ) was a German resistance fighter against the National Socialists .

She was the daughter of the resistance fighter Carl-Hans Graf von Hardenberg and engaged to Werner von Haeften . In 1944 she was arrested by the Gestapo because, as her father's secretary, she was involved in the activities of the resistance. She describes the persecution and the almost five-month imprisonment in her autobiographical book : On Always New Paths: Memories of Neuhardenberg and the Resistance to National Socialism , Lukas Verlag , Berlin 2003, ISBN 978-3-936872-02-6 .
