Reinhold Güldenpenning (born November 15, 1966 ) is a former German soccer player .
Athletic career
Güldenpenning started playing football at FC Rastatt 04 . He made his adult debut during the 1984/85 season for the club, which was in the third-class Oberliga Baden-Württemberg . At the end of the season he moved to SC Freiburg in the 2nd Bundesliga . Under coach Anton Rudinski he came in the first half of the 1985/86 season to four short appearances as a substitute, after a coach change at the beginning of 1986 to Jupp Becker , he remained without any further season until the summer. He then returned to FC Rastatt 04, which had meanwhile been relegated to the South Baden Association League.
In 1987 Güldenpenning moved back to the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg and joined VfB Gaggenau , where he met his former Rastat and Freiburg team-mate Markus Köppel . Under coach Werner Bartenbach he was a regular player and occupied places in the lower midfield of the table with the team. In 1989 he moved on within the league to 1. FC Pforzheim , where he was initially a regular under coach Slobodan Jovanić . In the 1990/91 season he moved under Jovanić into the second member, to win the league championship he contributed in ten games. Even under his successor Manfred Krafft , who took over the unsuccessful promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga, he hardly got a chance. It was only under Gerd Störzer that he was a regular again in the 1992/93 season at the side of Steffen Menze , Dietmar Feucht , Rainer Widmayer and Guido Streichsbier , but the club only reached 8th place in the table. After four years of service, he left the club with an unknown destination.
Later Güldenpenning got involved as a trainer in the youth work at the Pforzheimer district association SV Büchenbronn , in which his son was also active. His main job is for a cable manufacturer.
