Reinhold Staudt

Reinhold Alfred Staudt (born September 16, 1928 in Weilmünster , † September 11, 1978 in Darmstadt ) was a German politician ( SPD ). He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1976 until his death in 1978 .

Life

After graduating from high school in Bensheim in 1948 , Staudt studied German, folklore and sociology at the universities of Heidelberg and Frankfurt am Main . In 1957 he was with the subject studies Pate custom in Hesse to Dr. phil. PhD . Staudt worked from 1952 to 1956 as an employee of the publishing house and later embarked on a civil service career with the city of Darmstadt. From 1956 to 1960 he was managing director of the Darmstädter Verkehrsverein and subsequently head of the municipal press office. In 1963 he took over the management of the traffic and advertising office and from 1971 to 1973 he was the city's press and culture officer. In 1970 he was appointed magistrate director. From 1973 to 1976 he was a full-time city councilor responsible for the school, youth and sport department.

In addition to his professional activity, Staudt worked from 1955 as an editor for the culture and event calendar Lebendiges Darmstadt . He also worked as an author and editor of folklore writings. From 1976 to 1978 he was a member and managing director of the artists' association Neue Darmstädter Sezession .

Staudt joined the SPD in 1960 and later became a member of the SPD sub-district executive committee in Darmstadt-Stadt. In the 1976 federal election , he was elected directly to the German Bundestag in constituency 145 (Darmstadt) , to which he belonged until his death on September 11, 1978. Albert Nehm moved up for him via the state list of Hesse. Since October 1977 Staudt was a member of the sports committee and the committee for education and science.

Reinhold-Staudt-Platz in Darmstadt-Eberstadt was named in his honor on May 29, 1996 .
