history

The hamlet of Reinsdorf was first mentioned in a document on May 3, 1344. In 1442 Elsa von Mosen was enfeoffed with the Vorwerk and a mill. In 1557 a representative of the miller's family in Reinsdorf was mentioned. The mill was equipped with a grinder and oil mill (pounding wood). 1970–1980 the LPG used the rooms as storage space and in 1989 the fire brigade torched the dilapidated mill as part of an exercise. Moßbach and its district of Reinsdorf accommodate 425 residents. The yield conditions favored by the climate and soil were a prerequisite for life in the country. The farmers also went the way of agriculture in East Germany and reoriented themselves after the fall of the Wall .
