Reistenhausen is a district of Collenberg in the Miltenberg district in Lower Franconia .

geography

Reistenhausen is located on the southern edge of the Spessart on the right bank of the Main at about 139  m above sea level. NHN on Staatsstrasse St 2315 between Fechenbach and Kirschfurt . Reistenhausen and Fechenbach have grown together structurally. The Franconian Marienweg leads through the village .

history

In 1862 the district office of Marktheidenfeld was formed, on whose administrative area Reistenhausen was located. On April 1, 1931, however, Reistenhausen came to the Miltenberg District Office on the occasion of the reform of the layout of the Bavarian district offices . As everywhere in the German Reich , the term district was introduced in 1939. Reistenhausen was now one of the 31 communities in the old district of Miltenberg . On April 1, 1971, the communities of Fechenbach and Reistenhausen (with the village of Kirschfurt ) merged to form the community of Collenberg. The old district of Miltenberg merged with the district of Obernburg am Main on July 1, 1972 to form the new district of Miltenberg .

Oddities

In the vernacular, the rice houses are called the "Üzer", uzen - utzen = mockery. The citizens were known for their ridicule and scorn. In the village there is a saying: "Who künnt without shame and ridicule by Reistenhausen has e besonderi grace of God!" .
