Reitzenstein (life dates and first name unknown) was a German football player .

Career

Reitsenstein belonged as a runner of 1919 bis 1922 the 1. FC Nuremberg on, for which he in the South German Football Association organized championships in the District League North Bayern denied point games. At the end of his first season he won the North Bavarian Championship with the team and subsequently took part in the final round of the South German Championship , from which he first won the North Group and won the 3-0 victory over FC Pfalz Ludwigshafen as the champions emerged. He was able to repeat these successes with the team in the following season . With the “Club” as defending champion, he was qualified as a participant in the final round of the German championship in 1921/22 and played two final round matches. On June 4, 1922, he played the semi-finals , won 1-0 against the Berlin club SV Norden-Nordwest , in Fürth , as well as the repeat final that became necessary on August 6, 1922 - the final on June 18, 1922 was against Hamburger SV after the 2-2 draw by n.V. there was no winner and was canceled after 189 minutes due to falling darkness. For this he was used due to the failure of Michael Grünerwald , after he had to be reordered by telegram. After it was not used in the finals of the successful championships in 1920 and 1921, it was now used in the final, albeit unexpectedly. He had the opportunity to actively contribute to the championship, but after 18 minutes he was sent off the field. The game was stopped in extra time after Heinrich Träger was sent off in the 100th minute and Anton Kugler and Luitpold Popp were eliminated due to injury , as 1. FC Nürnberg had only seven instead of the required eight players. However, Hamburger SV, who had been declared champions, renounced the title.
