The Remenchus Glacier is a 13 km long and 6.5 km wide glacier on the Knox coast of the East Antarctic Wilkesland . It flows from the Antarctic ice sheet in a north-westerly direction and ends in a small but distinctive glacier tongue immediately east of the Mariner Islands and 19 km northeast of the Bunger Hills .
It was mapped using aerial photographs taken during Operation Highjump (1946–1947). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1955 after John Joseph Remenchus (1921–1988), chief pilot in Operation Windmill (1947–1948), the flights to create aerial photographs over Kaiser Wilhelm II Land , Queen Marie Land , the Knox Coast and the Budd Coast between January and February 1948.
