René Kummerlöw is a former German ski jumper .

Kummerlöw started his first international tournament at the Ski Flying World Championships in 1988 in Oberstdorf , which he finished in 30th place. On December 3, 1989, he started in the Ski Jumping World Cup for the first time . At the opening competition of the Four Hills Tournament in 1989/90 in Oberstdorf, he made it into the World Cup points for the first time with 15th place. He finished the tour in 15th place overall. When jumping in Bischofshofen , he achieved his best World Cup result with 11th place. At the end of the World Cup season 1989/90 he was with six points won together with the Bulgarian Sakari Sotirow in 48th place in the overall World Cup ranking. After the 1990/91 season he ended his World Cup career and switched to the newly created Ski Jumping Continental Cup for another year . After he didn't get any top placements there either, he ended his active ski jumping career in 1992.
