René Labouchère

René Labouchère (born February 13, 1890 in Paris ; † May 7, 1968 ) was a French aviator and racing car driver .

Aviator

René Labouchère was the cousin of the French aviation pioneer Hubert Latham . He worked as an engine designer at Société Antoinette and received his pilot's license number 86 in 1910. In the 1910s, he set several flight records.

Racing career

Robert Labouchére was a participant in the first Le Mans 24-hour race . In 1923 he drove a Lorraine-Dietrich B3-6 with partner Henri Stoffel . The duo dropped out after a defect.
