René Rindlisbacher (born April 27, 1963 ) is a Swiss presenter , comedian and cabaret artist .

Life

Rindlisbacher first did a commercial apprenticeship and was trained as a bricklayer .

He made his national breakthrough as a comedian together with Stephan Schmidlin , with whom he embodied the Schmirinskis .

From 1995 to 2001, Rindlisbacher hosted the Saturday evening show Top of Switzerland . He was also the presenter of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? at TV3 . Since 2005 he has been in the TV sketch show Edelmais & Co. to see. He also played on the reality TV show Der Match . In winter 2005/2006, Rindlisbacher was a candidate for the Canton of Zurich in the SF quiz show PISA - Battle of the Cantons . Rindlisbacher was the best celebrity in each of the three episodes in which he took part and in the end won the title of “Switzerland's smartest canton” with Zurich.

In 2011 he represented Susanne Kunz on the quiz show 1 gegen 100 on Swiss television.

Rindlisbacher's life is shaped by illnesses: He was born with a heart defect. When he was seven years old, his then three-year-old sister died of leukemia . At the age of 20 he suffered a heart attack and in 2006 Rindlisbacher fell ill with depression . In early 2012, he underwent another operation after 2002 after doctors found a hole in his heart.

René Rindlisbacher's wife was known as a ski acrobat under her maiden name Monika Kamber . The couple has been married since 1992 and has two children.
