René Teuteberg

René Teuteberg (born February 5, 1914 in Basel ; † February 12, 2006 there ) was a Swiss historian .

Life

René Teuteberg, son of a landlord, attended schools in Basel and Schiers . He then studied history at the University of Basel , where he received his doctorate in 1945. phil. received his doctorate . He then worked as a middle school teacher at the girls' high school in Basel ( diploma middle school since 1971 ). Teuteberg wrote numerous publications on Basel history, including a popular science overview, and regularly held adult education courses on this topic. He also wrote the text for six historical radio plays for Swiss radio.
