Renato Mambor

Renato Mambor (born December 4, 1936 in Rome , † December 6, 2014 there ) was an Italian painter and actor .

Life

Mambor began acting in film in the late 1950s; after about 20 roles he decided to concentrate on his career as a painter. Numerous exhibitions and participations followed; After receiving the Premio di incoraggiamento in 1960 , his works were shown at the Milan Triennale, three times at the Venice Biennale and abroad.

With the Trousse theater group he founded in 1975, however, he was seen on stage again and again until he finally turned to painting in the 1990s. 1959 had his first exhibition in the Galleria Appia Antica . The pictures he created afterwards “are dedicated to the encounter between people and their other selves as well as the relationship between art and reality”.
