Renato Rivera (born June 17, 1985 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ) is a Mexican football player in the position of a striker .
Life
Rivera began his active career in the youth department of Club Deportivo Guadalajara and came for the first team, among other things, in a game played on July 21, 2004 for the Coors Light Cup against the Boca Juniors . Otherwise he gained match practice with the Chivas branch teams of Chivas La Piedad (2004/05), Chivas Coras (2005/06) and Club Deportivo Tapatío (2006/07), which were represented in the Primera División 'A' .
Before the 2007/08 season he moved to the Dorados de Sinaloa and in the winter of 2008/09 to Club León . When the Leones Negros acquired the second division license for the newly created Liga de Ascenso from his former club CD Tapatío in the summer of 2009 , he returned to his hometown and has since been under contract with the university club in Guadalajara.
But he celebrated the greatest triumph of his career with Chivas. In the Apertura 2006 he played on September 30, 2006 his first and only appearance in the top Mexican division against Chivas' arch-rivals Club America (2-0). Although Rivera came on in the last minute for two-time goalscorer Adolfo Bautista , he was allowed to leave the turf shortly afterwards as a “derby winner” and was thus also part of the championship team from Guadalajara , which won the 2006 Apertura title.
