Renato Terra (actually Renato Terra Caizzi , born July 26, 1922 in Naples , † November 28, 2010 in Rome ) was an Italian actor .

Life

Terra Caizzi attended the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and graduated in 1952. After that (he had already played small roles in the past) he was regularly seen in films and played henchmen, bandits and other villains in around 100 films until 1967, when an accident while filming a spaghetti western brought his career to an almost complete standstill. His work includes a lot of genreware, but there are also classics of neorealism as well as works by Francesco Rosi , Franco Zeffirelli and Carmine Gallone . Probably his best-known role, Mommino in Pietro Germi's Il cammino della speranza , he played before graduating from CSC in 1950. It was not until ten years after his accident that he turned completely away from acting and devoted himself to poetry; two works, Che strano paese and Amori di latta , with his work has been published.

Terra Caizzi was also carried under the pseudonym Ryan Earthpick and his actual name.
