Rensjön is a collection of houses in the northern Swedish province of Norrbotten County and the historic province of Lapland .
The place in the municipality of Kiruna is located about 32 kilometers northwest of Kiruna and 100 kilometers east of the border with Norway . The settlement is located directly on the Erzbahn and Europastraße 10 . Narvik , the terminus of the ore railway, is 154 kilometers to the west.
Rensjön was built around 1900 at the same time as the ore railway was being built and initially served as a workers' settlement and later as a supply station on the railway line.
