Renzo Martinelli
Renzo Martinelli (* 1948 in Cesano Maderno ) is an Italian film director .
Life
Martinelli graduated from Libera Università di Lingue e Comunicazione IULM in foreign languages and started working in the advertising industry and for numerous video clips . In 1994 he made his cinema debut on the subject of racism . In 1997 Porzûs told a story from the partisan milieu; with the Vajont published in 2001 , which dealt with an event in Italy from 1963, he confused the critics, but won an Italian "Golden Globe" and a David di Donatello . He also remained faithful to social issues in his own films ( Piazza delle Cinque Lune (2003), Il mercante di pietre (2006), Carnera - The Walking Mountain (2008), Barbarossa (2009)). Critics note that his films are “almost ideological manifestos as works on discrimination”. He also wrote some scripts for colleagues.
