Max Klausner has invested a lot of money in a hotel in Sardinia. One day his son is kidnapped. The lawyer Iorio is a former life partner of Klausner and brings the demand that Klausner should cede all shares in the hotel to the blackmailers. Klausner refuses, and lets the blackmailers know that he would rather do without his son than the hotel. Klausner is secretly worried about his son. To free him, he hires the former secret agent Werner Schröder. This one is known for unconventional methods. Schröder manages to locate the blackmailers. Together, Klausner and Schröder kidnap the kidnapper's son Tonino Sanna. They propose that Sanna swap the children. Sanna was hired by Brumonti, a powerful mafia boss from Sardinia. That's why Sanna is afraid that he could turn the mafia against himself and his family in the event of a possible betrayal. He tries to kidnap Klausner's son from hiding. During the execution he is discovered by his accomplices. Sanna manages to kill them, but is seriously wounded herself. When the children are exchanging, the lawyer Iorio suddenly appears and threatens with a gun. Iorio is Brumonti's lover and had hatched the plan to kidnap children. Sanna shoots Iorio after a firefight and succumbs to his injuries a short time later. Tommy brings his father Klausner the last will of Sanna, Klausner should raise Sanna's son and take care of him.
