Reuden is a district of Bitterfeld-Wolfen in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district .

Reuden is located northwest of Wolfen directly on the federal highway 9 south of the eastern Fuhne .

history

Reuden was first mentioned in a document in 1323. The place belonged to the Electoral Saxon Office Bitterfeld until 1815 . The decisions of the Congress of Vienna he came to Prussia and in 1816 the district Bitterfeld in the administrative district of Merseburg of the Province of Saxony assigned to which he belonged until 1944th

The local manor was bought in 1886 by the paper manufacturer Kommerzienrat Lange. Through his initiative, sugar beet was cultivated in the Reudener Flur, which led to an economic upturn.

On July 1, 1950, Reuden was incorporated into Thalheim , but separated out again on January 1, 1957. The incorporation into the city of Wolfen took place on January 1, 1994. In the course of the district reform in 2007 and the associated formation of the city of Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Reuden became part of this new city.
