Reuver (pronunciation: Röver ) is a small Dutch town in the province of Limburg . Reuver lies between the Meuse and the German border that runs parallel to it. Reuver is the main town and seat of the municipality of Beesel .
Due to the incorporation of the cities, the municipality of Beesel on the right side of the Meuse is the last remaining rural municipality between Roermond in the south and Venlo in the north. The neighboring German municipalities are Brüggen and Nettetal .
Reuver consists of the districts Offenbeek (4,812 inhabitants; as of January 1, 2018) and Reuver (6,179 inhabitants). Offenbeek and Reuver have grown together in the center of the settlement and form the town of Reuver with 10,991 inhabitants, located on Rijksweg 73 .
The Catholic St. Lambertus Church from 1880 is an important neo-Gothic building by the architect Johannes Kayser.
Reuver used to be heavily industrialized by many companies in the clay and ceramics industry, some of which still exist today. The city has a train station and the largest business center between Roermond and Venlo. Landal GreenParks ' De Lommerbergen holiday park is known nationwide.
