Reza Brojerdi
Reza Brojerdi (* 1983 in Tehran , Iran) is an Iranian-German actor and film producer
Life
Brojerdi has lived in Germany since he was two years old , where he grew up first in Melle , Lower Saxony and later in Bielefeld .
He had appearances in television series such as Tatort , Unter Verdacht or Notruf Hafenkante and was seen in four episodes in the 5th season of the US series Homeland .
In 2017 the film Snow Maiden was made , which Brojerdi developed, produced and brought to the cinema together with friends. He himself played one of the main roles. The film won audience awards at the 2017 Ithaka Film Festival New York and the Cinepocalypse Film Festival Chicago and was awarded the Breakthrough Jury Award of the Lund International Fantastic Film Festival . Brojerdi was honored for his acting performance at the Horrible Imagining Film Festival in California.
In 2018 he starred alongside Christiane Paul in the ARD drama Saat des Terrors . In the short film The Manchador , a comedy by the Norwegian-Iranian director Kaveh Tehrani, he played an Iranian startup entrepreneur who campaigns for equality. Brojerdi played a leading role in the film Abikalypse (2019). In the historical drama Tomorrow we are free he plays an Iranian dissident who lives in the GDR , who returns to his homeland after the overthrow of the Shah of Persia in 1979 and gets caught up in the maelstrom of the Islamic Revolution.
