The Rhein-Main Baskets are a basketball - syndicate from the Rhine-Main area, which for the 2008/2009 season of the then second division Langen TV and TV Hofheim was founded. There is a strategic partnership with the ASC Theresianum Mainz as the third second division club. In April 2009, the team was promoted to the 1st women's basketball division .

history

With TV Langen, TV Hofheim and ASC Mainz, three teams from the Rhein-Main area played in the 2nd women's basketball league for years. Several national youth players were produced. Since none of the teams could establish themselves permanently in the first Bundesliga, these players could not be retained. Against this background, the intensive cooperation was decided on June 6, 2008. The aim was for one team to play in the first division and one in the second division. This goal was achieved in the 2012/2013 season. In the lower-class leagues and in the youth work, the three clubs remain independent and take part in the game with their own teams.

Teams

The club withdrew its first team from the competition on April 28, 2015. Up until then she had played in the 1st women's basketball league , the second team up to then played in the 2nd women's basketball league . The strongest U17 players play in the WNBL team (the joint U-17 youth team of TV Langen and TV Hofheim) in the WNBL ( Female Junior Basketball League ).
