The Rhine bridge between Valendas on the right side of the river and Sagogn on the left side of the river was built in 1903 as part of the construction of the Reichenau-Disentis railway line in the Rhine gorge in the lowest Surselva in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland .
It remained in the ownership of the Rhaetian Railway until 2017 and was taken over by the two municipalities of Valendas and Sagogn after the renovation that year.
The bridge crosses the Vorderrhein immediately to the west of the Valendas-Sagogn train station at its southern exit and opens up the train station from the north. In the first 113 years of its existence, it had shifted around 20 centimeters towards Sagogn. This happened because of the unstable slope on the Valendas side. This movement had resulted in some damaged areas that were removed by the 2017 renovation.
