Rhenish Academy Cologne
The Rheinische Akademie Köln (RAK) is a privately owned substitute school. The RAK is committed to the mission statement and basic values of its parent company, the Rhenish Foundation for Education. Under her roof, she runs a higher vocational school for technology, the technical college for technology and, from the 2019/2020 school year, the biological-technical grammar school, a vocational grammar school. The schoolchildren receive a state-recognized professional qualification as well as the general higher education entrance qualification or advanced technical college entrance qualification . 55 teachers currently look after around 600 participants. The focus of the training is on STEM professions.
Training offer
At the “Higher Vocational School for Technology”, school-based training for biological-technical and information technology assistants is offered. The “Technical College” offers full-time further training to become a “ state-certified technician ” with differentiations in the fields of construction , electrical , vehicle , mechanical engineering and medical technology as well as heating , ventilation and air conditioning technology .
After three years of training, graduates of the biological-technical high school receive the qualification as biological-technical assistant and the general university entrance qualification.
The educational offer is supplemented by the advanced training course for technical business administration , preliminary courses for attending the technical college and other additional services.
