Rhine week

The Rhine Week is a regatta week for inland sailors that has been held since 1922 at Whitsun from the Middle Rhine to the beginning of the flat Lower Rhine. In 2010 the route led from Oberwinter via Mondorf , Cologne-Porz , Leverkusen - Hitdorf , Düsseldorf to Krefeld (125 km).

In 2009 the regatta distance was over 175 km and was the longest river regatta in Europe.

The organizers of the Rhine Week 2010 were the two Cologne clubs Club für Watersport Porz eV1926 and Kölner Yacht Club eV In 2010, 126 participating sailing boats were registered. The Rheinwoche 2011 was organized by the Yacht-Club Rhein-Mosel eV from Koblenz . Due to the persistently low water level, the Rheinwoche 2011 did not take place on the Rhine, but on the Moselle.

The Rhine Week 2012 started on May 26, 2012 in Cologne-Porz . 127 Botte sailed over the stages Hitdorf , Düsseldorf-Lörick , Ruhrort and Wesel to Rees . Ranking races were held among the pirates . The Sprinta-Sport held a European Cup and the H-Boats a West German championship.
