Rhenania Richterich (officially: Sportverein Rhenania 1919 Richterich eV ) is a sports club from Aachen , Richterich . The first soccer team played a year in the then third-class Oberliga Nordrhein .
history
The association was founded in 1919. In 1970 he was promoted to the regional league, where they initially played against relegation. In 1976, Rhenania was runner-up in his season behind Borussia Brand and achieved promotion to the Mittelrhein Association League with a play-off victory against SSV Troisdorf 05 . There the team promptly dismounted and managed to get promoted again in 1978 and marched straight through to the Oberliga Nordrhein a year later.
From this, the Rhenania rose unhappy in the 1979/80 season . Richterich had the worse goal difference compared to ASV Wuppertal . A year later, the team was passed through to the regional league and in 1984 it went down to the district league. Since then, the club, which produced a Bundesliga player in Peter Sendscheid , has been commuting between the regional and district leagues. In 2012 he was promoted to the Middle Rhine Regional League . From this, the Rhenania rose two years later and was passed through to the district league A in the following season 2014/15.
