Ria Burkei

Ria Burkei (born January 28, 1935 in Munich ; † August 11, 2010 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Burkei attended elementary school and the Riemerschmied commercial school, she graduated in 1952 with the secondary school leaving certificate. After that, her professional career began with the Munich City Administration as an employee, followed by graduation from the Bavarian Administration School . She was head of the organization and personnel department in the non-profit housing sector.

In 1960 Burkei became a member of the SPD. She was a member of District Committee 30 in Munich, from 1966 to 1978 city councilor in Munich and from 1978 to 1990 member of the Bavarian State Parliament .

Burkei received several awards, including the golden badge of honor of the VdK Bavaria, the BRK and the German Animal Welfare Association , the gold medal " Munich shines , the friends of Munich" and the Federal Cross of Merit on the ribbon of the Federal Cross of Merit .

The temporary board member of 1860 Munich and the CSU district association Munich, Ralph Burkei (1956-2008) was her stepson.
