The Christ Fountain on the market square, which also serves as a war memorial, was created by Josef Mühlbacher and erected in 1926. The octagonal fountain bowl stands on a three-step stair landing. On the fountain column there is a statue of Christ who supports a dying soldier. The four gargoyles on the column represent the symbols of the four evangelists. On the walls of the fountain bowl there are panels with the names of the fallen. |
