Ricardo Cadena Martínez (born October 23, 1969 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of defender .

Life

Cadena began his professional career at his hometown club Club Deportivo Guadalajara , where he was under contract from 1989 to 1993. In the year of his move to Club León , where he was active until 2000, Cadena completed his only international appearance for the Mexican senior team . He had previously been with the 23 team U- on Olympic soccer tournament of the year 1992 participated.

In the new millennium, Cadena had a few brief stints with CF La Piedad , the Jaguares de Chiapas and the Dorados de Sinaloa before he was without a club for a while. Most recently, he played a half-season for the Lagartos de Tabasco ( Clausura 2005 ), Club Tijuana ( Apertura 2005 ) and its successor club Dorados de Tijuana ( Clausura 2006 ) in the second-rate Primera División 'A' .
