Richard Addinsell
Richard Stewart Addinsell (born January 13, 1904 in London , † November 14, 1977 there ) was a British film composer .
Life
Addinsell initially studied law at Oxford, but later decided to study music at the Royal College of Music in London . On December 3, 1928, The Old Vic Company premiered the operetta Adam's Opera based on the book by Clemence Dane with music by Richard Addinsell. From 1929 to 1932 he continued his studies in Berlin and Vienna . One of the most famous works Addinsell is the music for the film Dangerous Moonlight (1941), one of the styles Sergei Rachmaninov approximate Rhapsody for Piano and Orchestra , under the name Warsaw Concerto (Warsaw Concerto) gained worldwide fame. His longtime partner was the British fashion designer Victor Stiebel .
