Richard Armstedt

Richard Armstedt (born November 10, 1851 in Osterburg , Altmark ; † April 14, 1931 in Königsberg (Prussia) ) was a German philologist , historian and teacher .

Life

Richard Armstedt was 1,885 at the Eberhard Karls University of Tuebingen for Dr. phil. PhD . In 1886 he became a senior teacher at the old town high school in Königsberg. From 1900 to 1921 he was director of the Kneiphöfisches Gymnasium .

His scientific work dealt mainly with the history of East Prussia . As a member and chairman of the lodge master of the Königsberg Masonic lodge " Zum Todtenkopf und Phoenix ", he wrote its history.
