Life
Franklin began his career in the late 1970s. He made his debut in 1979 with the action film Blutzoll starring Jack Palance and Rod Steiger in the lead roles. In 1980 he worked on Robert Zemeckis ' Steven Spielberg- produced comedy With One Leg in the Kittchen . As a result he worked on four directorial works by Spielberg, beginning with ET - The Extra Terrestrial , as well as three other films by Zemeckis, including Back to the Future II and Back to the Future III .
Between 2004 and 2010 he was nominated three times for the Golden Reel Award , but could not win the award. In 1991 he was nominated for Flatliners - Today is a Beautiful Day to Die with Charles L. Campbell for an Oscar in the category Best Sound Editing , but that year the award went to Cecelia Hall and George Watters II for the Hunt for Red October .
