Richard Desmond (ice hockey player)
Richard Joseph Desmond (born March 2, 1927 in Medford , Massachusetts , † November 1, 1990 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American ice hockey goalkeeper .
Career
Richard Desmond attended Dartmouth College from 1945 to 1949 , for whose ice hockey team he played parallel to his studies. There he could recommend himself for the national team. In 1988 he was honored with induction into the United States Hockey Hall of Fame .
International
For the USA Desmond took part in the Winter Olympics in Oslo in 1952 , where he won the silver medal with his team. At the 1950 World Cup he also won the silver medal with the USA.
