Richard Fairbrass
Richard Peter John Fairbrass (born September 22, 1953 in Kingston upon Thames , London ) is a British musician and television presenter.
Life
Fairbrass grew up in East Grinstead , West Sussex . He is the singer in the band Right Said Fred, which he founded together with his brother Fred .
Fairbrass is openly bisexual . On May 27, 2007, he and his brother were attacked by Russian ultra-nationalists and Orthodox fundamentalists at a demonstration by the lesbian and gay movement in Moscow .
Career
His band had four top 10 singles in the UK from 1991 to 1993, including a number 1 hit.
He co-hosted the television series Gaytime TV (1995-1999) on BBC Two with Rhona Cameron . In 1984, Fairbrass appeared as bass player in a video Jazzin 'for Blue Jean by David Bowie . In 1994 he was the winner of Rear of the Year with Mandy Smith . In 2001 he co-hosted the television game show The Desert Forges with Gabrielle Richens on Five television .
