Richard Kapita

Richard Masaiti Kapita (born October 21, 1955 ) is a Zambian politician of the United Party for National Development (UPND) and now the Patriotic Front (PF).

Life

Kapita completed a postgraduate degree in management , which he completed with a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and worked as an administrative officer. In the election on December 27, 2001 he was elected for the United Party for National Development (UPND) as a member of the National Assembly of Zambia , in which he represented the constituency of Mwinilunga until 2006 .

After the election on August 11, 2016, President Edgar Lungu appointed him as a representative of the Patriotic Front (PF), which he had since joined, for one of the eight presidential seats in the National Assembly of Zambia . In September 2016, President Lungu also appointed him provincial minister for the Northwest Province in his cabinet .
