Richard Kaselowsky (entrepreneur, 1852)

Richard Kaselowsky (born June 16, 1852 in Berlin , † April 6, 1921 in Bielefeld ) was a German entrepreneur and member of the Prussian state parliament .

Life

Kaselowsky was married to Elise Pauline, née Delius (1862-1921), since October 7, 1887. She came from the textile producer family of the same name . The marriage resulted in a daughter and two sons; one of them the industrialist Richard Kaselowsky . His grandson is Richard Kaselowsky Junior .

Kaselowsky was one of the financially and politically influential citizens of Bielefeld. He was a businessman in Bad Nauheim . From 1894 he was a member of the supervisory board of the Vorwärts spinning mill and became a partner in the Nikolaus Dürkopps company . From 1876 to 1896 he was commercial director there. In this position in the 1890s he had a decisive influence on the industrial operations of sewing machines, bicycles, cash registers, cars, etc. After leaving the Dürkopp works, he was deputy chairman of the company's supervisory board. In 1900 he was a founding member of E. Gundlach A.-G. and was also a member of the supervisory board there.

From 1899 to 1903 he was a national liberal member of the Prussian state parliament and lived with his family in Berlin .
