Richard Lucien Borg

Richard Lucien Borg (born February 2, 1957 - July 19, 2013 ) was a German businessman, local politician and chairman of the Saar synagogue community .

Life

Richard Borg was a graduate engineer and industrial engineer and self-employed with his own communications company BNégociations . He was a member of the CDU and city councilor in Saarbrücken . He was the chairman of the DenkmalMit! eV

From 1998 to 2007, Borg was chairman of the Saar synagogue community , one of the larger Jewish communities in Germany and an independent regional association of the Central Council of Jews in Germany .

Under his leadership, a state treaty was signed between the regional association and the federal state of Saarland in 2001/02 and a corporation under public law was established.
