Richard Mühlmann ( October 1, 1815 - September 10, 1850 ) was a publisher in Halle (Saale) . In the publishing house of Richard Sears predominantly Christian features were devotional literature and theological works published.

Life

The son of a pastor received his school education at the pedagogy in Halle . He completed an apprenticeship as a bookseller at the Jäger'schen Buchhandlung in Frankfurt am Main and then worked as an assistant in Friedland and Berlin . In 1840 he took over the publishing house founded by Carl Grunert in Halle in 1824 , which also included part of the earlier Friedrich Ruff publishing house in Halle. AL Reinicke from Halle had already acquired another area of ​​the Ruff publishing program in 1824 and renamed it Reinicke & Comp. continued. Mühlmann added an antiquarian department and an assortment to the publisher he had bought. After his death in 1850 the business went to his widow, Lina b. Deer, about.
