Richard Pellejero , full name Richard Javier Pellejero Ferreira (born March 30, 1976 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

According to his club, the 1.80 meter tall midfielder began his career in Apertura in 1995 at Club Atlético Cerro . There he played until 2000. Except for the year 1998, in which a stopover in the Segunda División was inserted, the club was in the Primera División during this time . The years 2001 and 2002 he spent in the ranks of the major club Nacional , which was Uruguayan champion in both years. From Apertura 2003 he was a member of the Centro Atlético Fénix squad . He recorded three goals in 29 first division appearances in the 2004 season. In 2005 he moved to league competitor Danubio . During his stint at the latter club, he was assigned 12 first division appearances (no goal) for the 2005 mid-season and 14 14 matches (one goal) in the Primera División for the 2005/06 season. In the 2006/07 season, Club Atlético Cerro, which had just been relegated, was his employer again. As third in the table, immediate resurgence was ensured. As a result, his career path led for the first time abroad, where he signed a contract with the Ecuadorian club Aucas . He then completed the Clausura preparation at Cerro in early 2008. In February 2008 he moved from there on the basis of a loan deal initially limited to six months to the Quilmes Atlético Club coached by Alberto Fanesi , with the Argentines securing a purchase option for the player. For the Argentines, he completed six games in the Nacional B . In the Clausura 2008 he was hired for the third time at Cerro and played for the club until 2010. In the two seasons 2008/09 and 2009/10 he was used 52 times in the first division (two goals). There Pellejero won the 2009 Copa Artigas with his teammates (Liguilla Pre Libertadores 2009, Pellejero's record: nine starting eleven), which meant qualification for the subsequent Copa Libertadores competition, in which Pellejero played six games. After the Clausura 2010 he left Montevideo for Chile and contracted to Universidad de Concepción . For the 2012/13 season there was another return to Cerro. In the 2012/13 season Pellejero was used in 28 first division matches. He has been under contract with Sud América since the 2013/14 season and played 28 times (no goal) in the Primera División that season. In the 2014/15 season he played 27 first division games (no goal). Then he returned to Cerro. In the 2015/16 season he played there in 19 top division games and scored one goal.
