Hermann Kuprian
Hermann Kuprian (born April 12, 1920 in Tarrenz , † January 12, 1989 in Völs ) was an Austrian educator , writer and cultural politician .
Live and act
Hermann Kuprian attended the Episcopal Gymnasium Paulinum in Schwaz and then studied theater studies , German literature and history in Vienna , Innsbruck and Zurich . In 1940 he joined the Wehrmacht and was seriously wounded near Stalingrad in 1942 . He received his doctorate in 1946. phil and completed his studies with the teaching examination in German and history. He practiced his profession as a teacher in Landeck and Innsbruck.
He joined the Collegium Poeticum, founded in 1946, and then belonged to the Serles group of poets and from 1951 to the Innsbrucker Turmbund , Society for Literature and Art, of which he was president, literary sponsor and mediator from 1964 to 1986. He was also a member of the Austrian PEN Club and the Austrian Writers 'Association as well as the Innviertel Artists' Guild . For a time he worked as co-editor for the magazines Brennpunkte and the Turmbund series of publications . From 1966 he was a member of the Spanish knightly order Caballeros de Yuste, founded in 1957 . From 1957 to 1962 he was director of the adult education center and cultural advisor in Landeck.
