Richard Rademaker (born March 18, 1982 in Apeldoorn ) is a Dutch volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career

Rademaker started his volleyball career in 1999 at DOC Stap Orion Doetinchem . There he played in the outside grip. When he went to Landstede / Zwolle in 2003 , he also changed positions and became Libero. With his new club, he reached the playoff final for the Dutch championship in the first year. In 2005 he was appointed to the national team for the first time . In the same year he moved to Ortec Rotterdam Nesselande . 2006 was the most successful year of his career. First he won the double of championship and cup victory with the club. Then the Dutch won the Europa League . In 2007 Rotterdam defended the cup title with Rademaker and was also back in the playoff final. In addition to the renewed runner-up, the club reached the quarter-finals in the Challenge Cup . The next championship followed in 2009. Rademaker also took part with the national team at the European Championship in Turkey . In 2011, the Libero managed another victory in the Dutch league with Rivium Rotterdam . In the 2011/12 season he played for Dynamo Apeldoorn .

Richard Rademaker completed his first international beach volleyball tournaments between 2001 and 2003 with his brother Roland . The twins played at the Grand Slam in Marseille and at two open tournaments. They finished the Junior World Championship in Catania in 2002 in fifth place. In the following years Richard Rademaker concentrated mainly on his activities in the hall. He returned to the sand for the Beach EM 2012 in his own country. With Tim Oude Elferink he reached the first main round as third in the group and was defeated there by the Polish duo Kądzioła / Szałankiewicz .
