Richard Stauch

Karl Eduard Oscar Richard Stauch (born November 15, 1901 in Berlin ; † December 14, 1968 in Berlin ) was a German composer who focused on film music .

life and work

Stauch was a student of Willy Mattes and W. Forcks at the Music Academy in Berlin, which later became part of the Berlin University of the Arts . After completing his studies, he composed operettas and light music. He also wrote the film music for over 20 film and television productions. He began his work in 1933. From the 1950s onwards, he was mainly involved in Fritz Genschow's fairy tale films . His last film works are from the 1960s.
