Richard Walz (born August 24, 1967 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a former German soccer player and today's coach .

Richard Walz played in the Bundesliga for the clubs Fortuna Düsseldorf and Bayer 05 Uerdingen and made a total of 48 Bundesliga appearances in which he scored seven goals. After his professional career, Walz played for SC Verl and then for four years in the regional league team of SV Wehen Wiesbaden before ending his career at SC Wiedenbrück in 2000 .

After the end of his active career, Richard Walz worked for the amateur clubs TuS Freckenhorst and DJK RW Alverskirchen as a trainer and assistant trainer at Viktoria Aschaffenburg .
