Richard Wildhagen

Richard Wildhagen (born January 10, 1890 in Kitzingen ; † August 20, 1981 there ) was a German entrepreneur and local politician .

Life

Wildhagen was the owner of A. Wildhagen & Co. Bonbonfabrik Kitzingen, which he sold in 1960 to Horst Bentz, then owner of the Melitta group of companies . The factory was sold to August Storck KG as early as 1963, and production was discontinued in 1969. Wildhagen was first chairman of the Association of the German Confectionery Industry and a member of the board of the Central Technical School of the German Confectionery Industry. From 1951 he established the state-recognized training as a specialist in confectionery technology .

From 1948 to 1952 he was honorary mayor of Kitzingen. His term of office was marked by the rebuilding of the city, which was badly damaged by the war.

Wildhagen was married to Hertha Wilhelmine Hedwig, Freiin Ebner von Eschenbach .
