Richard von Berendt (General, 1833)

Karl Gustav Richard Berendt , von Berendt since 1896 (born November 18, 1833 in Breslau , † October 19, 1900 in Charlottenburg ) was a Prussian major general .

Life

Military career

During his military career in the Prussian Army , Berendt took part in the war against France in 1870/71 and was awarded both classes of the Iron Cross .

From May 13, 1880 to October 14, 1888 he was commander of the Brandenburg Foot Artillery Regiment No. 3 (General Feldzeugmeister) . Afterwards, Berendt was put up for disposal as major general with the statutory pension in approval of his resignation .

Kaiser Wilhelm II raised Berendt to the hereditary Prussian nobility on January 18, 1896 .

Berendt married Marie Helene Luise Zerboni (* 1841) on May 6, 1861 in Neisse . The marriage had three children:
