Richard of Corswant

Richard Friedrich Karl Ernst von Corswant (born August 18, 1841 in Krummin , † September 2, 1904 in Zinnowitz ) was a German manor owner and member of parliament.

Life

Richard von Corswant studied law and political science at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin . In 1861 he became a member of the Corps Vandalia Heidelberg . After completing his studies, he managed his father's manor Krummin, which he became owner in 1873.

From 1873 to 1879 Corswant sat for the constituency Stettin 1 (Demmin, Anklam, Usedom-Wollin) in the Prussian House of Representatives . He belonged to the faction of the Free Conservative Party .

The painter Elsa von Corswant (1875–1957) was his daughter.
