Fröier made his international debut as part of the Ski Jumping Continental Cup for the 1995/96 season. With only 26 points, he finished in 127th place overall. At the Swedish Championships in 1996 he won the title both individually and in the team of his club IF Friska Viljor . The team repeated the team success just a year later.
At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1997 in Trondheim , Fröier started in both individual disciplines and reached ranks 55 and 57. A few days later, on March 13, 1997, he made his debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup in Falun . With 53rd place, however, he remained far behind the points. Also in the 1997/98 season he did not make a breakthrough in the Continental Cup. However, he won again the title in the individual and with the team at the Swedish Championships in 1998. In March 1998, Fröier started again in Vikersund and Trondheim as part of the World Cup, but could not win any points. In the overall Continental Cup standings, too, he did not get past 127th place. Although the beginning of the 1998/99 season was just as unpromising, he was again part of the squad for the 1999 Nordic World Ski Championships in Ramsau am Dachstein . Fröier landed 55th on the normal and on the large hill. After another national title in the team at the Swedish Championships in 1999, he was also part of the Continental Cup squad for the 1999/2000 season . However, this season too, with 33 points, he was only 127th overall. Fröier also remained without points in three World Cups in Kuopio , Engelberg and Sapporo .
At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2001 , Fröier was ranked 39th on the normal hill and 49th on the large hill. In the two team competitions, he was tenth with the Swedish team. After he still failed to make a breakthrough after the World Cup in the World Cup or the Continental Cup, he finally ended his active ski jumping career in the summer of 2002 with a last start in Falun as part of the Continental Cup.
